Bio: Hosam El-Ocla has received the M.Sc. degree in the Electrical Engineering Department of Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 1996. He joined the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan in 1997 as a research student. He has been awarded the Doctor of Engineering degree in 2001 in the same University. Dr. El-Ocla joined Lakehead University since 2001 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2007. His research interests are on waves propagation and scattering in random media. Also, he is working in computer communications, networks, and protocols particularly of wireless networks.
Dr. El-Ocla is a senior member of IEEE (Antenna and Propagation Society). He used to be a member of Institute of Physics (IOP) (2006 to 2009), and technical committee member on telecommunications of IASTED (2005 to 2008). In addition, he is a Professional Engineer of Ontario (P.Eng.). He was invited for research visits to Ariake National College of Technology (Japan) and Manchester University (UK). In 2009 and during his one year sabbatical, he worked in King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He woked in both E-Learning and Distance Learning Deanship and the College of Engineering, Electrical Engineering Department.

Bio: Pierluigi Siano received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information and electrical engineering from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 2001 and 2006, respectively.,He is currently a Full Professor of electrical power systems and the Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory, Department of Management and Innovation Systems, University of Salerno. His research activities are centered on demand response, energy management, the integration of distributed energy resources in smart grids, electricity markets, and the planning and management of power systems. In these fields, he has co-authored six international books, more than 800 articles, including over 500 articles in international journals, which have received more than 25 900 citations on Scopus, achieving an H-index of 77. Since 2019, he has been awarded as a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering by Web of Science Group.,Dr. Siano has been the Chair of the IES TC on Smart Grids. He is an Editor for the Power and Energy Society Section of IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions Industrial Electronics, and IEEE Systems Journal.

Bio: Associate Professor Senior ACM member Emre Erturk is known internationally through conferences and editorships in cloud computing, educational technology, and digital divide/inclusion. Emre won 2017 EIT CEO’s Research Award and a grant from Internet-NZ in 2020. Past Programme Coordinator and Ethics Chair, Emre has held leadership roles with the Royal Society and CITRENZ (Computing Information Technology Research Education New Zealand).
